The tourism bureau of our county posted a "color watch" chart on Facebook to show at what stage the leaves are changing. Right now we are at "changing" but not at peak color beautifulness yet. That seemed odd to me because I've been enjoying the colors of fall for a few weeks now. But when I went outside to really look around, I saw that they are indeed correct. I'm glad to have a few more weeks of glorious color. This is my favorite time of year. I truly love fall. The weather, like today when it is 65 F outside, is glorious. The colors are beautiful and the air has a smell to it of spices and woods. I hope the weather this weekend is just as beautiful because I have a few surprises in store for the boys if it is.
While I went out to check the percent of leaf color, I took my camera with me to document this beautiful day and some of our "spooky" Halloween decorations.
Mums on the porch
The spooky spider that we didn't get out last year due to Hurricane Sandy stopping by
Don't be scared.... by my weeds. I'm a tad behind on weeding.
The leaves on our front trees haven't even started to change yet.
The back yard tree is only changing on top
Behind our house there is a little color change. But there was much more a few weeks ago. I think those were the crab apple trees and those leaves have already changed and fallen off.
The burning bushes are definitely burning
