Time is a flyin'.
Things are good here. We're back into the grove of school and both boys are doing well. Each one has a class that he needs to work extra hard on, but their grades are pretty good.
Little Monkey is rolling. I can't believe how big he's getting. He goes to physical therapy once a week for Torticollis but it's getting better. He still has reflux but we've started him on some solid foods per the pediatricians suggestion. So far he's had rice cereal, carrots, and sweet potatoes. Rice cereal isn't really recommended as a first food anymore. They recommend starting right with yellow veggies, then green veggies, then meats and fruits, then some grain like oatmeal. But he's had rice cereal in his bottle since he was a few weeks old to help with the reflux. Since we know he's OK with it, and with our history of food allergies, I'm starting with it because we know it's safe.
In a few weeks, my first born is turning 11 years old. It seems like just yesterday he was a baby. Realizing how quickly time moves past us, makes me want to savor and cherish every single moment. It's just not easy to do that in this crazy busy world that we live in. I wish there was a way to slow things down. I wish the world would allow us to do that.
Some days I just have to force a slow down. Today is one of those days. I have a 100 things to do today. But I just need to take a deep breath, put a few things on the back burner and enjoy my babies.

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.

Love that little poochie belly and cute smile! That piece you quoted at the end there is really sweet.
Look at his smile! My 2nd child (my PA child, nonetheless) had torticollis so I know the road you are on. Glad to hear therapy is going well!
