Betty Crocker contacted me to ask me if I (really the boys) would try some new snacks (yes, they sent me a FREE package of fruit snacks {giving a wave to the FTC}). The Little Man was highly excited. His reaction on Halloween made us a little leery of gummie type snacks but he's always eaten Betty Crocker snacks with no issue so we let him have these over the weekend. He had NO issues with the Betty Crocker snacks (thank goodness!). And both boys gave two thumbs up to the fruit snacks.
Along with the fruit snacks, BC sent some really neat toys that the boys have enjoyed. The light up yo you was their favorite.
The package included the following:

There are 2 boxes of gluten free fruit snacks, a Frisbee, a retro Pick ‘em Up Sticks game, and a light-up yo-yo. For more information on other allergens you can go
here.
The nice people at Betty Crocker have also offered the same package for me to give away. So I'm having a contest to give away the above package. Just leave your name and e-mail address in comments here on the blog and I will announce a winner on Saturday.

It is so nice to discover new snacks for food allergic kids. My son would love these too; I've been waiting until he's old enough for gummy snacks, but I'm sure he could handle them now. Thanks for the give away.
Gummy chews! K- loves them, but I stopped buying them for her because of cavity stuff. Still, if I qualify, toss me into the hat. We love free stuff! :)
Glad to hear that he didn't react to the fruit snacks. I'd love giveaways!
I can well imagine how exciting it must be when you can find another food/snack that is safe for him. Just the other day I was at the grocery store and happened to glance at some products and noticed the "gluten free" written on them...something I had never noticed before I started reading your blog:-) You've just made me so much more aware of the allergies some people can have!!
I just read your previous post and thank goodness that you are all recovering from that dreaded flu! So many people have it around here too but so far I've managed to stay away from it...touch wood!!! xoxo
Oooh, ooh, a contest- Can I enter? I've been excited to try fruit snacks- we've been avoiding most of them due to coconut oil. This week, we've been trialing coconut with Brett- so far, so good. Fruit snacks, here we come! Whoo hoo!

I think I may be too late for the contest but thanks for letting me know the fruit snacks are GF. I don't buy a lot of fruit snacks like that for the kids because they tend to stick to the teeth (and the dyes) but it's good to know if I need something in a pinch, or to give the suggestion to her teachers or something. It is getting a little hard to find a variety of GF snacks for her!
