I Think My Main Easter Preparations Are Complete

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to say that. But with a big sigh of relief, I can. SIGH.....

The allergy friendly cookies are made:

The Little Man will be able to have his Easter cookies just like everyone else. My Mother In Law makes cut outs for my Older Son because he loves them, and I just didn't want the Little Man to feel left out. I have a confession to make though. Cut outs are my least favorite cookie to make. For some reason I find them extra time consuming and extra difficult. You can find the recipe for these Here. The dough was very sticky and I added a bunch of arrow root starch to it when I started working with it. I ended up patting it instead of rolling it. It was just easier.

We also made it to the Bunny. A 50 minute drive there for a 3 minute "Hi Bunny" and $20.00 picture and a 50 minute drive back. The boys were so excited to see the Bunny that it was worth it.

Yes, I know, the outfits could have been cuter. But I grabbed Older Boy from school and off we went. We were supposed to get freezing rain and snow (which we did) and with an almost 2 hour round trip drive I didn't want to take a chance primping everyone and hitting bad weather. We made it home just in time. It's the memories not the clothes that count.

I made it to the grocery today and stocked up on everything I'll need for the Easter meal. I already had the ham, but I got everything else. I also picked up some Easter flowers so our house smells springy and sweet now. Which is especially welcome since we still have snow outside. Which reminds me Happy Spring.

I'll be cooking everything on Saturday so on Easter Sunday all we'll have to do is heat and eat.

So all that is left is to make the baskets and fill the eggs. Oh and get ready for the Easter Bunny.

Your bunny cookies are adorable and so is the photo of the boys with the bunny. Your description of the trip cracked me up. So true. Shocking what they charge for that photo, isn't it?

Happy Easter!

The cookies are adorable and look yummy! I really didn't do any baking this year. We'll be at my Mom's, so I'm glad to not do this holiday (I had Thanksgiving and Christmas).

Their picture is so cute - we spent $30, but only b/c I got it on cd too - it used to be $20 for a picture and cd - love when prices jump up on you.
